Any band who take the inspiration for their name from the Incredible Hulk (the Marvel comic, not the TV series or film) get an extra point before the CD even goes into the player. The fact that they play a high-class blend of classic Derringer, Grand Funk Railroad and Cactus licks amped up and slathered in heavy cheese for the 21st century is a major bonus. Kicking off with the love song to their transit, 'Champagne Minivan' - imagine Helmet, though niether arch nor arty, if they had been around in the 70s and written a 'Born to be Wild' stadium anthem - this is an album that poses the strait-faced question: do you believe in rock'n'roll? If not, sod off back to your bedroom and listen to some atonal Radiohead experiments or slide in a Thin Lizzy CD and reflect on how they have'nt made'em like that since 1975. Bollocks, daddio. this is classic rock'n'roll that's alive and well in the here and now and you really should get out more and find it.

Chatted to the guys after a gig in BrisVegas, Oz-stralia & they definitely are the Stoner’s Gentlemen’s Gentlemen. It’s awesome how they can capture a live sound in the studio. Very few bands can do that successfully. This album is peculiar in their discography in that there are a number of lo-fi chilled tunes to match their thumping Stoner tunes. Having a really hard time working out which I like better. The Judge, Glass Houses & Rattlesnake Flake Vs Nikki & Catalina. It’s a tough call. Harry Harrison

AOTY candidate of the year '23. '23? I was afraid Reflections wouldn't come close to Io, tarnishing the legacy to me. Finally gave it chance: it's different, but definitely a Lowrider album. What always made them special for me was a relaxed groove coupled with a driving energy. On Io it's like galloping a motorcycle through an amazing landscape at 200 kmh in a meditative state. Here it turns night and you slow down a bit, gazing 3rd eye, enjoying the aurora borealis buzzguff
